Several costume changes later, she became a "work of art", in her words, when she donned a long white dress and was sprayed with blue and yellow paint.

Out of all the performers at the MTV European Music Awards, including Camilla Cabello and Nicki Minaj, the icon Janet Jackson stole the show.

As always, all eyes were on the red carpet at the MTV EMAs last night - and the stars pulled out all the stops in the style department. "Women, our voices will be heard when we speak out for justice".

While all the girls looked fabulous, we particularly loved Jesy's pink power suit, which she paired with a gold Louis Vuitton chain.

One of many stars to raise awareness of the movement via awards ceremonies this year, Janet also used her acceptance speech for the Billboard Icon Award in May to hail survivors who had spoken out against abuse.

BTS and LOONA won big awards tonight at the ' 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards' in Spain.

Five-time winners of MTV Europe Music Awards, English rock band Muse also made a splash by performing "Pressure" from Bilbao's world-famous soccer stadium San Mames. At The Disco's Brendon Urie scaling Bilbao Exhibition Centre's exterior before crashing through the ceiling to perform "High Hopes".

Best song, best video, best artist.

Nicki Minaj was also a big victor, earning Best Look and Best Hip-Hop.

The spectators went wild singing along to "Malamente" by Spanish sensation Rosalia, but the most moving performance belonged to Halsey.
