49ers Cheerleader Kneels During National Anthem, Joins NFL Protests

While she hasn't publicly addressed her gesture, she is believed to be the first cheerleader to participate in protests former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started in 2016 against police violence in minority communities and racial inequality in the United States.

A San Francisco 49ers cheerleader was photographed kneeling during the national evening before Thursday's game against the Oakland Raiders at Levi's Stadium.

The former undrafted free agent out of Favre's alma mater Southern Mississippi finished 16 for 22 in place of the injured C.J. Beathard and had a 151.9 passer rating, the highest for a quarterback with at least 15 attempts in an National Football League debut since the 1970 merger. The 49ers lost star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending knee injury earlier in the year. Instead, the undrafted quarterback threw for 262 passing yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Kittle led all receivers with four catches for 108 yards, while Mostert was the game's top rusher with 86 yards on seven carries.

San Francisco defeated Oakland 34-3. Mullens and the Niners' offense quickly responded to Oakland's opening field goal with a pair of touchdown scores, and the game quickly got out of hand for the visiting Raiders.

Across the bay, the 1-6 Raiders seemed to have waived the white flag before the season even started, by trading once-in-a-lifetime talent Khalil Mack to the Bears.
