The catastrophe in Indonesia: the Boeing had problems with speed

Indonesian rescue team members have retrieved body parts from the water where a plane crashed. It ordered up to 218 of the Boeing 737 MAX planes and now operates 11 of the same aircraft.

"We hope tonight we can drop anchor and release the ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) again and I am sure we will find a black box given the strong indication, and, not far from there, the main body of the plane", Tjahjanto said.

The plane enroute to the city of Pangkal Pinang with 189 people on board was reported missing at around 6:30 a.m. local time Monday (2330 GMT Sunday), and was believed to have crashed 13 minutes after taking off from Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta global airport.

"However, it has not yet been confirmed that it is part of the fuselage".

Data from flight-tracking websites shows both flights had highly erratic speed and altitude after takeoff, though confirmation is required from data recorded by the aircraft's "black box" flight recorders.

Search and rescue teams involved in works on liquidation of consequences of the crash of an airliner Boeing 737, owned by Lion Air which crashed off the coast of Indonesia have discovered an object whose length is 20 meters.

Flight JT610 was heading for the western city of Pangkal Pinang when it went down.

A spokesman said the European Commission had no immediate plans to renew the ban on Lion Air, but the Australian government warned its officials and contractors not to fly on Lion Air pending findings from the crash investigation.

The investigation will be carried out with help from Boeing, General Electric and the US Federal Aviation Administration, officials have said.

Lion Air's admission that the jet had a technical issue on a previous flight - as well its abrupt fatal dive - have raised questions about whether it had mechanical faults such as a speed-and-altitude system malfunction.

"The bigger picture here is that you've got a lot of American carriers flying the same aircraft", said Stephen Wright, aviation expert at the University of Leeds. Its aircraft have been involved in at least 15 safety incidents and it has been placed under tougher worldwide safety restrictions than other Indonesian airlines.

Founded in 1999, Lion Air is Indonesia's largest low-priced airline and has had half a dozen non-fatal accidents and one fatal accident, which occurred in 2004 in the city of Solo, leaving 25 people dead.

"This is a photo of the wreck of the aircraft of Lion Air JT904", which crashed into water in Bali in 2013.

Founded in 1999, the budget carrier capitalised on a boom in Indonesia's aviation industry, but has been plagued by safety woes and complaints over unreliable scheduling and poor service.

The 737 MAX series has been ordered by some of the world's top airlines including Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Norwegian and Ryanair, according to The Telegraph.

The crash has renewed concerns about the safety of Indonesian airlines, soon after U.S. and European regulators removed prohibitions against them.

Indonesia's transport minister says the technical director of Lion Air and staff who approved the flight of the jet that crashed have been removed from duty at the ministry's order.

Boeing suspended release of the fuel-efficient 737 MAX just days before its first commercial delivery previous year due to an issue with engines. More than 50 body bags have been sent to a police hospital.

Indonesia's transportation safety committee (KNKT) will analyze its data in Jakarta, which could take up to two weeks.

Searchers have found only part of one black box and just one passenger has been identified from partial remains after air traffic control lost contact with the plane 13 minutes after it took off on Monday from the capital.

Later, on the site of the plane crash in Indonesia have discovered the remains of 10 victims.

On Tuesday, their daughter Samantha posted the image to her Instagram account with the words: "Dad, I love you every day".
