OnePlus 6T: What to expect

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is all set to launch its new handset OnePlus 6T in India on Monday.

- There is Snapdragon 845 inside OnePlus 6T and this has been confirmed by OnePlus. It will run on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box with its own OxygenOS skin on top.

The tipster also leaked some promotional images, showcasing the alleged OnePlus 6T in all its glory. Stay tuned to for more OnePlus coverage. To be honest, even 6GB of RAM sounds like overkill, so you may be better off with the cheapest option.

- The leaked images as well as specs sheet shows that the OnePlus 6T will come with dual-camera setup at the back and a single camera on the front. Pre-orders are also available from 30 October till 7 November 2018 on the OnePlus Official Store.

The rear camera setup will use a 16-megapixel image sensor for the primary camera and a 20-megapixel sensor for the secondary camera.

OnePlus have already confirmed the 6T will come with a fingerprint scanner underneath its display, allowing for a new and futuristic way to unlock the device.

Official Announcement - 31 OctoberAt the Honor Play launch event, the company's president showed a teaser for a successor to the Honor Magic phone launched in 2016.

On the specification front, the smartphone is believed to feature a bigger 6.41-inch FHD+ display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

The India launch of the OnePlus 6T will be at 8.30PM at a venue in Delhi. That is also the day when the OnePlus 6T will go on sale at 12 pop-up events that OnePlus is holding in 9 cities. The prices seem to be in line with what other leaks claimed, starting €559 and going up to €639 for Europe. The confusion is around the variants that OnePlus is planning to bring.

Powering the OnePlus 6T will purportedly be a 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset - the same as the previous model - coupled with either 6GB, or 8GB of RAM depending on the model.

Release date The OnePlus 6T was originally scheduled to launch on October 30, but the launch has since been shifted to October 29 to avoid a clash with Apple's iPad and MacBook event.
