Browns Trade RB Carlos Hyde to Jaguars

Browns Trade RB Carlos Hyde to Jaguars

The Jaguars are moving to fill the hole left by Leonard Fournette's continued absence, acquiring running back Carlos Hyde from the Browns. He's averaging almost 10 yards per carry. That said, the Jags decided to make a deal for the veteran tailback as Leonard Fournette is out with an hamstring injury indefinitely and Corey Grant is on season ending IR with a Lisfranc injury. In the 2020 draft, the Browns have their own picks in rounds 1-7 in addition to a 6th round pick from Arizona (DB Jamar Taylor trade) and a 7th round pick from Buffalo (WR Corey Coleman trade).

The NFL trading deadline is October 30. Yeldon, meanwhile, is dealing with foot and ankle injuries.

Patriots first round pick Sony Michel out of UGA got off to a slow start to his NFL career, but in his last three games, the third leading rusher in Georgia football history has averaged 22.3 carries and 105 yards per game.

The first major trade of the National Football League season just happened.

"Browns want to get more playing time for rookie RB Nick Chubb", ESPN's Adam Schefter said in a tweet. Chubb had only three carries for 25 yards last week in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. We need to get him more chances, but sometimes the game changes, you get behind and you need Duke Johnson out there because that's what he does well - catch the ball and run it.
