Stardew Valley to launch on iPhone

Already a hit on Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Linux and Nintendo Switch, "Stardew Valley" is about to take its first footsteps onto mobile courtesy of an "almost identical" iOS edition set for October 24, its developer outlined in blog post on Tuesday.

English studio The Secret Police has completely "rebuilt from the soil up" Eirc Barone's original work as ConcernedApe, and they promise to include all the content up to the 1.3 update.

If you've played the PC version, you'll be happy to know that this isn't a cut-down version of Stardew Valley especially designed for mobile devices, but the full game. Stardew Valley will be released in the App Store on October 24.

Are you planning to revisit Pelican Town?

Stardew Valley puts players in charge of a dilapidated old farm inherited from the main character's grandfather.

Pre-orders for Stardew Valley mobile will go live today on the App Store, and it will run you £7.99/$7.99/€8.99.

If you've been carefully nurturing your own Pelican Town on Windows, macOS, and Linux, you will be able to import your save into the iOS version via iTunes.

This studio is also working on completing an Android port of Stardew Valley, although there is now no release date for this version. If you haven't heard of Stardew Valley, it's basically Harvest Moon but a pixelated version. Mods are not supported, and save data containing mods may cause problems.

The mobile version of Stardew Valley is being developed by The Secret Police, a mobile developer based in the UK.

The exciting news that the game will be heading to iPhone wasn't the only good news. An Android version is coming soon.
