#MeToo: Housefull 4 director’s ugly side to sexual harassment

On Thursday, Karishma used the #MeToo hashtag and narrated her tale of sexual harassment by Sajid, who flashed his penis at her during the course of an interview. And then we have actor Nana Patekar playing a crucial role in this film and he is also facing sexual harassment case from heroine Tanushree Dutta.

"I will not work with any proven offenders and all those subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve", Kumar's statement said. "Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through".

The cast of Housefull 4, produced by Sajid Nadiadwalla, also includes Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Sharad Kelkar, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda and Kriti Sanon. "I've requested the producers of Housefull 4 to cancel the shoot until further investigation", he wrote on Twitter. Soon after Akshay Kumar announced the cancellation the shooting, Sajid Khan tweeted he's "stepping down" from the post of director of the film "till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth". This is something that requires stringent action. "This can not go on", she wrote on Twitter.

Revealing the interview facts she went through, Saloni said Sajid had then questioned her how she would feel if she was sexually abused at some point or what her opinion was about sex and having get breast job done. Sajid Khan also confirmed the rumours of him stepping down from the project by releasing a statement on Twitter.

As per the post of the actress, she had faced sexual and mental harassment from the director for several months.

Unable to take the trauma she even pleaded to tell her what exactly is that he wanted from him.

She added that she had to work with him again while she was working with a music channel.

The ongoing avalanche of sexual assault claims being made against men in the entertainment industry, including filmmakers Subhash Ghai and Vikas Bahl, actors Rajat Kapoor and Alok Nath, comedians Gursimran Khamba and Utsav Chakraborty, have led to more women calling out sexism and sexual misconduct. She wrote: "The first time I interviewed Sajid Khan in the early 2000s, he called me to the house he shared w/ his sister".
