The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Have Revealed 2019's Nominees

LL Cool J was nominated for a fifth time; if selected, he would become the seventh hip-hop act to be inducted.

Janet Jackson, a five-time Grammy victor, will have a third chance to gain induction after failing to make it in her first two times on the ballot.

Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks and glam metal band Def Leppard led voting among fans on Tuesday for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, outstripping the 13 other nominees eligible for a place in music history.

They'll be inducted at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. on March 29, 2019, in a ceremony that will be broadcast live on SiriusXM's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio station. This is Smith's fifth time being nominated.

Fans will once again have the opportunity to vote for their favorites.

Inductees will be announced in December. Six of the nominees are on the ballot for the first time, including Def Leppard, Prine, Roxy Music, Devo, Nicks and Rundgren.

To be eligible, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

This year's batch of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees bring us a list of those up for induction into the hallowed institution of music history. For some, the pinnacle of the list contains musings such as one day winning a Grammy award.
