Kanye West to meet with Trump, Jared Kushner at White House

The rap star is scheduled to meet Thursday morning with President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and then have lunch with Trump himself, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed Tuesday.

President Trump is set to meet with one of his biggest A-list celebrity fans - rapper Kanye West. During the presidential transition, Trump memorably brought West in front of cameras in the Trump Tower lobby for an impromptu gaggle with reporters.

Mr. Kushner, who serves as a senior adviser to Mr. Trump, has been focused on overhauling the criminal justice system, and one person briefed on the meeting said that Mr.

They will discuss manufacturing, prison reform, gang violence and how to reduce violence in Chicago, where West grew up.

It's not the first time West will have met up with Trump during his presidency.

Kim Kardashian, West's wife, met with the President in the Oval Office in June.

"So many times I talk to a white person about this and they say 'how can you like Trump?" However awkward or poorly received his speech was, West followed it up with a tweet where he said the hat "Represents good and America becoming whole again".

"They bullied me backstage".

But his return was fraught with controversy, as he posted rants about topics ranging from his Yeezy line, to his former brother-in-law Lamar Odom, and to Donald Trump, whom he publicly declared his support for and called him "my brother".

During his "Saturday Night Live" appearance, West sought to tamp down criticism about his relationship with the president. "You know how wrong about politics you need to be for like me to notice? I'm on them, they're great", Davidson said.

Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted is still Team Kanye West despite all of the Make America Great Again and President Donald Trump support.
