Google Now Makes Its Own Home-Branded Smart Display

Google Now Makes Its Own Home-Branded Smart Display

Google has unveiled the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL smartphones.

The Pixel 3 phones have larger displays than the Pixel 2 counterparts, which were launched a year ago.

As to the details of Google's Home Hub.

However, it wasn't clear if these refer to different sizes, designs, or if there will be a version with 4G and one with just Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The only changes are that it now supports 1080p resolution at 60fps versus the previous 720p at 60fps or 1080p at 30fps, and it now lets users play music in sync with other speakers Google's smart devices, like a Chromecast Audio dongle.

"Pixel 3 will be available from Verizon in two sizes: "the 5.5" Pixel 3 and the 6.3" Pixel 3 XL, both available in 64 GB and 128 GB memory options.

As you may have gathered, there are two Pixel 3 devices launching this year. The Pixel 3 starts shooting a second before you press the button and a second after - looking for the moments where everyone has their eyes open and facing the camera.

The device is using Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC to deliver the best performance. "I don't know why anyone would migrate or update from a Pixel 2 to a Pixel 3". As far as the camera goes, both devices have a 12.2MP single-lens rear camera with a f/1.8 aperture and 1.4μm. It has been created to blend in with your home - the screen automatically adjusts to the level and type of light in the room. The base model of the Pixel Slate starts at $599 which gets you an Intel Celeron processor 4 or 8GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage, respectively. Google is tossing in six months of YouTube premium when you buy a Home Hub so that you have plenty of content to watch. If they have the Google Home app, they can turn the lights on or off. We're glad to have it back though.

The new phones include wireless charging - a first for Pixel devices - along with larger displays.

The final addition to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL's arsenal is the introduction of the Pixel Stand. It displays information on the phone screen and can be operated completely by voice.

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come with a new "top shot" feature that aims to remove photo flaws.

Google is about to announce the introduction of the new Google Pixel Slate at its hardware event in New York City. However, from our initial time with the devices, it's clear that Google is really only just hitting its vision of melding of hardware and AI-driven software - something it set out to do back with the original Pixel in 2016.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL launch in the United Kingdom on 1 November and preorders are open now on the Google Store.

It's thanks to these smart additions that we're likely to have another absolute fantastic Pixel smartphone on our hands and hopefully one that isn't besieged with issues like last year's Pixel 2 XL.
