This industry ill equipped to handle sexual harassment issues: Anurag Kashyap

At the event, Sonam said, "I think Kangana wrote something". "I am an idiot to not understand what I am signing, so I should be put in the dock for that", he added. All I want to say is that all I have is compassion and love for you.

She accused Bahl of continuing to harass her at the company's office in Mumbai and said that a complaint she made to Anurag Kashyap drew no response. "When I am sharing my #MeToo story, who gives her a right to judge me?", read her statement.

Kashyap said that producer and partner Madhu Mantena and himself sat with the survivor; the action thought out included suspending Bahl for a long time, not allowing him to produce or direct, taking away his signatory rights and sending him to rehabilitation. Although she extended her support to Tanushree in her fight against Nana Patekar and condemned what happened at Phantom, her comments towards Kangana come as a huge shock due to its selective nature. She alleged that Bahl harassed her in the past. I can not blame anyone but myself.

Kangana continued, "I often told him off. He partied every night and shamed me for sleeping early". The woman was alone, vulnerable and recovering from an accident that had left her on crutches for months. "I am deeply, truly sorry to the woman in question and she has known this all this while".

Speaking at Vogue We the Women summit in Bengaluru, Sonam, who was one of the speakers, lauded Tanushree Dutta for showing courage in speaking up against the powerful men of the industry. "But he got really drunk (or pretended to be) and he forcibly tried to kiss me on the lips, I pushed him and left immediately and he pretended not to see me leaving". We all are complicit in this failure by rarely checking on our female colleagues or demanding PoSH guidelines to be followed.

However, Ranaut was shocked at the industry and people's hypocrisy stating that people are only standing up for the victim now but refused to believe her when she initially shared her ordeal. We did our best.

Motwane also wrote, "Vikas, Madhu, Anurag and I have chose to dissolve our partnership in Phantom and go our separate ways". She also went on to add that how does Sonam have the license to trust some women and not others.

Meanwhile, the Mid-day report also suggested that Bahl would be kept out of the promotions of Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film, Super 30, that he has directed.
