Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has revealed that Neymar is better than Kylian Mbappe.

The Atletico Madrid star took third place in the Golden Ball ranking at the World Cup behind Luka Modric and Eden Hazard, while Mbappe was named the tournament's outstanding young player.

Giovanni Simeone, 23, netted on his full senior global debut in the 3-0 win over Guatemala yesterday, as he played the full 90 minutes as the central striker.

Griezmann's team-mate Jan Oblak, meanwhile, is another Atleti star who has been snubbed for big individual prizes, missing out on the nominees for goalkeeper in the FIFPro World XI awards .

"He's a guy who has everything to play with me, but I would never sign him".

When asked about the statements made by his sister which caused quite an uproar in Italy the Atletico Madrid coach told TV station Cope that: "It is clear that the Italian journalists asked her this classic question".

"Without Cristiano we have approached Real Madrid level, for sure".

"I swear on my kids that I never saw us losing him".

The Argentinian said: "I hope that he (Oblak) renews [his contract]".

Tuchel simply must ensure PSG become a consistent force in the Champions League, and he'll need Mbappe and Neymar on fire to succeed.

"He hasn't had an explanation - World Cup victor, Super Cup, Europa League, second in LaLiga, best player in the [World Cup] final", he added.

"Griezmann in this past year was the best in the world".

And Simeone believes Griezmann should be on the Fifa Best shortlist as he was head and shoulders above his rivals.

He said: 'Without Cristiano Ronaldo, we get closer to Real Madrid.

The Atletico Madrid manager also says that Thibaut Courtois would not make it into his current side.
