Leak: The Razer Phone 2 apparently missed the bezel-less memo

As per the renders, the Razer Phone 2 bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor and some subtle differences are only noticeable if you look very closely. While we already came to know key specifications, we will be seeing more leaks in the coming days.

Since the launch of the Razer Phone, the smartphone world has moved on to edge-to-edge displays with little to no bezels on the side. The Razer Phone has since led to a mini-trend of high-end smartphones designed for gaming. While the company doesn't straight up say what it's planning to announce, we can see the outline of a phone around the Save the Date, suggesting that a new Razer Phone will be the focus.

Spoiler alert: that's the Razer Phone on the left, and the Razer Phone 2 on the right. The current rumours for specs for the phone include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and 8GB of RAM, at least according to an entry on Geekbench claming to be from the phone. Yes, it was its 120 Hz screen and its double front speaker that made it a unique device.

We aren't yet sure what to expect from Razer Phone 2, but if it's anything like the first, you can expect much attention to detail with regard to the display, audio, and overall performance of the device.

The Razer Phone was the first gaming-centric smartphone to grace the market, prompting other companies such as ASUS and Xiaomi to release gaming smartphones of their own.
