Maurizio Sarri invites John Terry to join Chelsea coaching staff

The Rams boss spent 13 years with the former ex-England captain at Stamford Bridge, and reports claimed that a reunion could be on the cards this season, with Terry looking for a new club after leaving Aston Villa at the end of the 2017-18 campaign. I don't know [if there is a chance]. I'm talking about one week ago.

The highly-anticipated football match will start on Saturday 15th September 2018, at 7:30 pm IST, the match will be played at Chelsea's home stadium, Stamford Bridge.

"He would be a point of reference for me. If he wants to help us I am really very happy". He has won everything with the club, so it's up to him.

"The last time I spoke with him he told me that he wants to play for another season", added Sarri, who took charge of the Blues in the summer. "Because, as I said before, I want to give space to the young players", he said.

Chelsea will be confident of continuing their flawless winning start to 2018/19 when they host a struggling and winless Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

"For me, it's a pleasure", Sarri said when asked if his days are long.

"We play against a very physical team, so I think if we want to gain points we need a very good performance tomorrow". I think so, but I hope not.

"I think tomorrow will be a very hard game. It's very hard. The gap last season was 30 points (between fifth-place Chelsea's 70 and City's 100) so to go above 30 points in one season is very, very hard".

"My feeling is that now we are not a very solid team in the defensive phase". I need to be ready for that but I haven't got a target.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has hailed manager Maurizio Sarri's footballing philosophy and insists that he is enjoying playing under the Italian.

Fabregas is likely to only be fit for a place on the bench, though, and could replace Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who picked up an injury on worldwide duty with England. "Mentally after the break it is hard", he said. The 28-year-old is likely be under heavy pressure in London and how he stands up to the challenge could be key.

"I think that, at the moment, Fabregas can be available for the bench, but I want to speak to him".

"My father told me to stop in the last 20 years, I think".
