Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Heads to Nintendo Switch in 2019

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Heads to Nintendo Switch in 2019

Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire Editor in Chief, dropped the news on the Xbox Wire website and has announced that a collection of Final Fantasy titles will be coming to the Xbox One over the coming few months.

Original: If you're a fan of Final Fantasy, boy did this Nintendo Direct have some nice announcements. Also, in 2019, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X and X-2, and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will all also be arriving on the platform. It will be joined by the spinoff games World of Final Fantasy: Maxima on November 8 and Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Everybuddy! this winter.

Besides all of this remaster love, we're also getting one new game in the slightly disappointing shape of Chocobo Mystery Dungeon, though really there's very little to complain about, apart from perhaps where Final Fantasy XIV is!

World of Final Fantasy Maxima is a cutesy adventure through Grymoire where you'll meet heroes from numerous past FF games, coming this November. The 2018 versions are designed specifically to go with all those NES games you'll be able to play when Switch Online debuts, and they'll even slot into the Switch's existing Joy-Con sockets when not in use. Just one buddy at a time, though.

The second game is World of Final Fantasy Maxima.
