The company is also expected to release a new Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Series 4.

The higher-end iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are both expected to come in three colors: space gray, silver, and gold. The website PhoneArena has renders comparing the new phone to the iPhone 8 Plus.

"Depending on the price point, the launch of the XC could also see Apple making serious moves in the mobile mid-tier as it hopes to regain ground from more competitively priced rivals". The rumoured iPhone XS and XS Max are said to be the headline devices ready for unveiling, however leaks have beat Apple to the punch, giving us our closest look to date. However, there wasn't any concrete proof on the naming scheme of the other two models - the 6.1-inch LCD and the 6.5-inch OLED variants. It will also use aluminum instead of stainless steel edges, and come in several additional colors. So expect similar looking devices to last year's iPhone X with a few internal upgrades.

PhoneArena also has images showing what it thinks all three models will look like. What's happening to Apple's cheaper, traditional phone models?

The phone is said to feature the same 5.8-inch display as the iPhone X but include more expensive and colorful OLED panels and L-shaped batteries to improve battery life. A $699 version is unlikely and wouldn't be good for earnings, Hall added.
