Zidane: I am sure I will coach again before long

There have been reports that ex Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane who is now on leave would replace the former Chelsea coach this season at Manchester United.

The former Juventus and Real Madrid playmaker has now added fuel to the flames by insisting in a recent interview that he would return to coaching soon.

Former Manchester City scout Romain Poirot has been appointed to head up the club's network in France while Javier Ribalta, who moved to Old Trafford from Juventus to become scouting manager in 2017, left after just 13 months to join Zenit St Petersburg as their sporting director.

Jose Mourinho's position has been questioned and newspaper The Mirror speculates that Zidane could replace him.

The 25-year-old's inconsistency continues to blight his second spell at Old Trafford and with Barcelona reportedly interested in his services, it has been suggested that he could soon leave Manchester.

Manchester United are searching for a recruitment guru to give them an edge in the transfer market.

"Because I like it and (football) is what I have done my whole life".

He walked away from that post on the back of an historic third successive Champions League triumph, with La Liga title glory also savoured at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Zidane has worked with both Kroos and Rodriguez during his time at Real Madrid, and is a big fan of Thiago's work in midfield.
