Ariana Grande has been forced to turn off her Instagram comments following the reported death of her ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller.

According to a September 7 report by College Candy, a multitude of stars spoke out on social media about Mac Miller's death on Friday.

TMZ reports that Miller was found dead in his home in California earlier today from what's been described as an apparent overdose.

Last month Miller was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol after a May crash in which he crashed his auto into a power pole.

The tragic news comes just months after he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and hit and run in the Los Angeles area shortly after his breakup from pop singer Ariana Grande in May.

Mac and Ariana were dating for two years before the pair ended their relationship earlier this year and the singer got engaged to her now fiance, Pete Davidson. I can not take this anymore, life is too short...

A year later, his first album, "Blue Slide Park", debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

Variety reports Grande cited Miller's substance abuse as a reason for their break-up.

The 25-year-old performing ten songs from her recent album Sweetener, as well as an a cappella rendition of 'One More Time'. "I want to be able to have good days and bad days", he said. Throughout his prolific career he collaborated with Anderson.Paak, Ty Dolla Sign, Ariana Grande, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Kendrick Lamar, and many more. "I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man's inability to keep his sh** together is a very major problem".

Reps for Miller did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Ed Sheeran, Drake, Chance The Rapper and Post Malone were among a stream of stars to pay tribute to the "great talent", who released his fifth studio album, Swimming, in August.

"It started by me just sitting inside all day", he explained of his addiction. "So yeah I think that is really what sparked me doing other drugs because I hate being sober, I wanted a drug to do". "So I completely cut it out".
