The display is also big at 6.3in, and despite the fact that the Huawei Mate series a year ago all had the same size display, there is a rumour the Huawei Mate 20 Pro might have a 6.9in screen, but this is unconfirmed.

As per the leaks, the Mate 20 Lite is 7.6mm tall, quite thin, weighs 172 grams and has got an LCD panel with at least 2340x1080 pixels. Now, in the latest developments captured by German publication WinFuture, the Mate 20 Lite will indeed have similarities with the Nova 3i. It looks like they are not dropping the notch as their upcoming Mate 20 devices might also embrace the notch.

This could be the Huawei Mate 20 Pro's front panel.

Other tips suggest the Pro model will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, and the whole range will run Android Pie with a new edition of Huawei's Emotion UI (EMUI). But today, it is a model of the last city that we were interested in and more precisely the Huawei Mate 20 Lite. Like the previous generation, the Mate lineup should launch sometime in October. Additionally, the Mate 20 will have a bigger battery than the P20 Pro. With the photography advancements on the P20 and P20 Pro, and the specs rumored to be on-board, we can't wait to officially get our hands on it.

That specifically is the Kirin 980, which according to Globe Mobiles - citing Chinese news source CNMO - will have eight cores, with the four highest power ones being clocked at 2.8GHz (up from 2.4GHz on the Kirin 970 in the Huawei P20 range). Under the hood, the smartphone could feature the company's recent Kirin 710 octa-core processor, a 12-nanometer TSMC chip with four 1.7-GHz ARM Cortex-A53 cores and up to four 2.2 GHz fast Cortex-A73 cores. A Type-C USB port will be located on the bottom of this phone, while the phone's display will sport rounded corners, as it's easily visible in the provided images.

The Mate 20, along with the Mate 20 Pro are going to be the first smartphones to feature the Kirin 980.
