Omarosa says she secretly taped her firing, plays audio

Manigault Newman claims in an upcoming book, "Unhinged", that Trump used racial slurs on the set of his reality show "The Apprentice". Why did John Kelly, who has a large, private office, feel that was the best place to fire her? "That I tried to charge the residence at the White House".

And the Republican National Committee pointed to her sudden admission she heard the tape where Trump allegedly said the N-word, despite her writing that she had only heard about it second-hand, as proof she shouldn't be trusted.

"The first time I ever heard Omarosa suggest those bad things about this president are in this book", she said, noting Manigault Newman "is somebody who gave a glowing appraisal of Donald Trump the businessman, the star of the 'The Apprentice, ' the candidate and, indeed, the president of the United States".

The White House has not responded to the tape.

On the tape, which Manigault Newman said was recorded in the Situation Room, Kelly can be heard citing "some pretty serious integrity violations" as the reason for her dismissal, and telling Manigault Newman that his decision was not negotiable.

"I was in the room when he said inappropriate things, but [Trump] has never said the N-word in my presence, ever", Manigault said Sunday, adding he "probably has said some very derogatory things about me".

Conway, asked on ABC's "This Week" who would now rank as the highest-level black among personnel stationed in the West Wing, initially faulted host John Karl for not focusing on Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson.

According to the document, labeled the "Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. I was complicit in it, for that I regret".

She said that she was "totally complicit" when she defended the president after the Charlottesville riots one year ago.

As excerpts from Newman's book have started to leak, the White House has gone on the attack, arguing she lacks credibility and has previously espoused praise for the president.

She writes, "I rejected what other people said about him because they didn't know him like I did".

"The first time I ever heard Omarosa suggest those terrible things about this president are in this book".

She also alleges that Trump has exhibited signs of a "mental decline that could not be denied" and says she went as far as printing out a study linking Diet Coke consumption to dementia and strokes and putting it in his briefing stack.

Price said cellphones and recording devices are not allowed in the room, though aides are not screened before entering.

In February, Politico reported that Manigault Newman was sacked for using a White House vehicle service as a pick-up and drop-off service.

On Saturday, Trump blasted Newman as a "lowlife" in response to questions from reporters about her claims.
