Wolverhampton Complete Club Record Signing Of Adama Traore From Middlesbrough

The 22-year-old moved to Molyneux on a five-year deal for a fee believed to be £18million.

The club secured the signing of Adama Traore from Middlesbrough for a club-record £20m on Wednesday to add to their early window additions.

The club had lined up a medical for him on Thursday afternoon, but Zinchenko has not left Manchester, and it is understood he wants to stay at City and fight for his place.

Traore told Wolves TV: "I am so happy, it's a great day for me, for my family".

"I know the history of Wolves".

Traore came through the academy at Barcelona, before joining Aston Villa in 2015.

He made 34 appearances in the Championship for Boro last season, providing ten assists for his team-mates and chipping in with five goals.

"I hope the supporters understand both players in respect of their decisions to play in the Premier League".

Traore joins Portugal's Euro 2016 winning duo, goalkeeper Rui Patricio and midfielder Joao Moutinho, Jonny Castro Otto and Raul Jimenez as new faces in manager Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.

The newspaper also notes how Simpson would count towards Wolves' homegrown quota, which is significant given the high number of overseas players now on the books at Molineux.
