EPL: Pele predicts club that'll win title this season

Alisson could well make his first competitive appearance for the Reds in their season opener with West Ham on Sunday afternoon, in front of fellow keepers Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.

The Guinean looked the part in pre-season and will be keen on making an instant impact in the Premier League. You need to have the right personality for that very hard job.

Klopp didn't entertain the idea of signing an alternative player, and Liverpool will go into the season without an extra creative midfielder.

"We will see, we have not big issues but we have these little things where we have to think about if it's a risk or not and if it's a risk do we take it or not and all that stuff".

Ahead of the kick-off of the 2018/19 Premier League season, test your knowledge of Liverpool's fortunes on the opening day of the campaign.

"There are bigger problems in life than losing a Champions League final, so we all have bigger problems than losing a Champions League final".

Shaqiri, who played in this summer's World Cup for Switzerland, stresses that Klopp now has strength in depth at his disposal after a summer spending spree to supplement what be already had - a team good enough to reach the Champions League Final just three months ago.

"I do not expect that [returning the trophy] from him [Ramos], I only expect that he gives more thought to his assessment of certain situations".

Of course, Pele could have easily said that he was backing Manchester City with their Brazilian quartet of Gabriel Jesus, Fernandinho, Ederson and Danilo.

"If Liverpool can get some impetus, then we don't know how Manchester City will react under pressure if a team can stay close to them at the end of the season".

Klopp, however, is realistic about his side's chances. We have to be more clinical in the right moments, more aggressive in the right moments.

They also have a new manager in Manuel Pellegrini, the former Manchester City boss. That's it. We lost them in other games. I know that Salah was (thought) a good deal for Roma, but now people say it is a good deal for Liverpool.

"I think we now have the quality. That is the case and a fact".
