Nintendo Switch Online Launches in the Second Half of September, Nintendo Announces

There's only a few weeks left until Nintendo Switch Online launches, according to a press release from Nintendo.

Earlier today, Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe both announced that Switch Online will launch in the "second half of September".

The wait was long for Nintendo Switch Online but its nearly here after numerous delays. The collection will initially include 20 games, with more added on a regular basis. 3, and Donkey Kong are confirmed for launch - alongside 10 still unannounced titles.

This means you have just over a month to play your online games for free.

Right now, we know for sure that " Splatoon 2", "ARMS", "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe", "Mario Tennis Aces.", and "Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido" will require the subscription, and other games will "vary". Every classic NES game will support voice chat via the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app*. This makes it easy to retrieve your game data if you lose your system or start using a new one. Nintendo says that an actual, final release date will be announced as we get closer to launch, but the company better get to work in deciding on one because we're closing in on that deadline quickly.
