Richter Belmont, a descendant of Simon Belmont and the star of his own Castlevania games, also joins the Super Smash Bros.

Simon's signature stage is Dracula's Castle, which includes cameos from all the series' most iconic bosses, including, naturally enough, Dracula himself.

The "king of the kremlings", so to speak, has been a popular fan request for some time, and he'll bring some unique moves along with his fearsome countenance to the game. He looks to be somewhat similar to King Dedede in fighting style, but he can also fire off cannonballs at opponents. Ultimate was revealed that Nintendo shared it would be offering GameCube controllers once again. Sakurai also revealed two other playable characters during the Direct: Fire Emblem's Chrom (an echo fighter of Roy) and Metroid's Dark Samus (an echo fighter of Samus). More characters will be announced in the future.

New fighters, new stages, AND every fighter ever featured in the series... There is also a Sound Test menu, which lets you create custom playlists that can be listened to when your Switch is in Sleep Mode.

Match rules can be saved and loaded at any time. Ultimate. In Stamina Battle, players fight to deplete each other's stamina until only one fighter is left standing. It's ensuing Final Smash is not as strong as the one from the Smash Ball.

Squad Strike: When playing Squad Strike, players will participate in 5-on-5 or 3-on-3 skirmishes, with each player using either five or three consecutive fighters in one battle.

Bomber can be held up and creates a massive explosion after a few seconds. As a matter of fact, a bunch of different Pocket Monsters were revealed to be in the game as assists, with Alolan Exeggutor, Ditto, Abra, Solgaleo, Lunala, Mimikyu, Pyukumuku, Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, and Marshadow all making appearances.

Luigi first appeared in the original Mario Bros arcade game in 1983, and has since been a vital part of most Super Mario franchises, including Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, Mario Tennis and Mario Party. That's good news, because Mario's unlucky brother deserves a break.

N64 version stages were created to keep the old school style. According to Polygon, Nintendo is toying with us all, by placing "purple and yellow" chairs behind Sakurai during the latest Smash broadcast. Stage hazards can be disabled, and any arena can be set up like Big Battlefield or Final Destination.
