Chris Pratts Cowboy Ninja Viking movie delayed indefinitely

Priyanka Chopra was set to act with Chris Pratt in an upcoming Universal Studios film "Cowboy Ninja Viking".

However, following a report from Collider, the Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Universal has indefinitely delayed its debut. That's pretty shocking for a film that was going to go into production next month.

According to the site, the film remains in active development along with Pratt who remains attached to the project with Breaking Bad director Michelle MacLaren.

The film had cast Pratt as Duncan, an assassin able to channel the fighting skills of a cowboy, ninja and Viking after a bout of shadowy government psychiatric conditioning. Should the project get off the ground in the future, Chopra would likely be the first choice for the role, though her involvement would all depend on her schedule aligning with a new production schedule. Created by writer A. J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo, Cowboy Ninja Viking is an Image Comics series about secret counter-intelligence agents with multiple personality disorders.

However, the studio has halted the film removing it from the release calendar and delaying production, reports said. Game of Thrones co-executive producer Guymon Casady has been signed up as producer, as well as Ben Forkner.

James Gunn was sacked over a serious of abhorrent tweets, and though Pratt and his cast mates have lobbied Disney to hire their boss back, it doesn't look likely. The actor will next be seen in Vincent D'Onofrio's western The Kid, and he also returns for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. So we'll get quite a bit of Pratt in 2019 even without Cowboy Ninja Viking.
