Cleaning crew finds fetus in toilet aboard American Airlines plane

Flight Tracker reports Flight 1942 left Charlotte at 8:56 p.m. Monday and arrived at LaGuardia at 10:44 p.m., about 20 minutes behind schedule.

A dead fetus reportedly was found Tuesday morning onboard an out-of-service American Airlines plane in New York City. "Please contact law enforcement or the medical examiner's office for additional information", American Airlines said in a statement.

"We will release determination when the investigation is complete". That activity caused some brief delays pushing back other aircraft.

A cleaner made the grim discovery after discovering a large amount of toilet paper had been pulled out and covered the inside of one of the plane's toilets.

Officials with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which manages the airport, did not return calls for comment.

The Queens County District Attorney is looking into the matter. That was her only answer to any question about the investigation underway.

The body of a deceased infant was found aboard a commercial airplane on early Tuesday morning at LaGuardia Airport, New York Post reports. "I think it's bad".
