Glass Trailer Reaction & Review - SDCC 2018

If the trailer of any movie begins with this dialogue, consider me sold.

Shyamalan experienced a resurgence with his well-received 2015 found-footage film The Visit.

While the first movie in the series, "Unbreakable" told the tale of David Dunn who had superhuman strength and psychic powers, "Split" was about Kevin Wendell Crumb and his multiple split personalities, especially "Beast" his 24th and final personality.

A Blinding Edge Pictures and Blumhouse production, Glass will be released by Universal Pictures on January 18, 2019.

Possibly the best idea M. Night Shyalaman has ever had, folding Unbreakable's David Dunn into the close of Split resulted in a truly rapturous audience response. This led to the unlikely friendship with Samuel L. Jackson's Elijah Price, who suffered from a condition in which he had incredibly brittle bones, resulting in frequent fractures. At least, that's part of what's going on here.

The story followed up on the conclusion of 2016's "Split" where it was teased that all three characters would eventually meet.

Pretty impressive, right? It just shows how much work has gone into this film already and I can't wait to see the finished project.

In addition to Willis, Jackson and McAvoy, Split's Anya Taylor-Joy also returns for Glass.

Joining the all-star cast are Unbreakable's Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn's son and Price's mother, as well as Golden Globe Award victor Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story series). She's a specialist that deals with people who think they are superheroes.

To coincide with the studio's panel at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, Universal has released the first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's Glass.
