Danny Ward excited by Leicester challenge after completing move from Liverpool

Liverpool is running rampant in the transfer window and certainly is ahead of the rivals as the Reds have reportedly sealed a blockbuster signing of Roma's acrobatic shot-stopper Allison Becker who has emerged as one of the best goalkeeping talents in the world for around £66.8m.

Leicester City have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Liverpool over the signing of Danny Ward.

New Leicester City signing Danny Ward has a message for the Club's supporters.

He also earned his first start for Wales and third cap overall in his nation's opening game of Euro 2016, a 2-1 victory over Slovakia, deputising for Wayne Hennessey.

Speaking to LCFC TV, Ward said: "I'm delighted to be here and I'm really looking forward to the future with this Football Club".

The goalkeeper joined Liverpool from Wrexham in January 2012 and impressed for the club's youth sides as he set about staking a claim to be involved with the first team.

Ward would then join Huddersfield Town on a season-long loan in 2016/17, where he proved to be a key figure - playing 46 times as the Terriers were promoted to the Premier League.

"I've come here to develop my all-round game and hopefully help deliver some more success", he said.

Sturridge has played in all three of Liverpool's pre-season friendlies so far, against Chester, Tranmere Rovers and Bury, scoring two in a 7-0 win over the former.

Klopp had originally been set to give Ward a chance at the number one spot heading into the new season, but breakthroughs in talks for Alisson saw plans change quickly at Anfield.

Liverpool and Wales forward Ben Woodburn is set to travel with Liverpool for their pre-season tour to the United States of America, despite loan interest that includes Norwich City.
