Jabari Parker on verge of signing offer sheet with hometown Chicago Bulls

Jabari Parker on verge of signing offer sheet with hometown Chicago Bulls

Jabari Parker reportedly wants to be a member of the Chicago Bulls.

Since he is a restricted free agent, the Bucks would have the right to match any offer sheet that Parker is signed to by another team.

Fans in the area flocked to the court and Parker played in some pick-up games with those that showed up.

Parker was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 National Basketball Association draft, though has suffered two ACL tears to his left knee already in his career.

Parker, a native of Chicago, averaged 12.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game for the Bucks this past season. The 2012 Gatorade National Player of the Year is actually from Chicago, as HoopsHype's Alex Kennedy noted when free agency began.

Parker is a career 35.2 percent 3-point shooter.

"If either Chicago or Sacramento offers a large contract to Parker, it may be hard for the Bucks to match". The team has discussed allowing Parker to become an unrestricted free agent by pulling his qualifying offer, but that has yet to happen, league sources said. Don't be surprised if they try to bring Parker home.
