Apple Updates Touch Bar MacBook Pro with 32 GB RAM, New Keyboard

A few of the more interesting excerpts regarding the new MacBook Pro keyboard can be viewed below.

Here's the pick of the offers.

Alongside the new notebooks, Apple launched something interesting as well. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro features up to 8th-generation quad-core Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors (up to 2.7GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz), said to be twice as fast as the previous generation.

Good news for those of you who can't wait to get your hands on Apple's just-announced MacBook Pro. The quartet also feature the Touch Bar interface and Touch ID authentication, enhanced with a dedicated secure enclave chip, the Apple T2.

Apple today updated MacBook Pro with faster performance and new pro features, making it the most advanced Mac notebook ever.

Apple released updated 13-inch and 15-inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro models on Thursday. Apple has been gradually increasing support for eGPUs within macOS, with the latest version being the best yet. Turbo Boost takes that up to 4.5GHz. Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro feature True Tone display. A quick MacBook Pro update last spring suggested the company was recommitting to relatively quick product updates; the grumbling began again when the year anniversary of that update passed with no sign of a 2018 revision. Apple is also giving users more flexibility by allowing them to add 2TB SSD on the 13-inch model, and 4TB SSD on the 15-inch variant.

Apple iterated on the key design in the 2017 Macbook Pros, and users reported less reliability problems with the keyboard.

"The 15" series features Radeon 555X or Radeon 560X discrete GPU graphic cards with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, while the 13" line sticks to the integrated GPU now with 128MB of embedded DRAM. The more interesting accessory, if you can call it that way, is the eGPU (external GPU) for the MacBook Pros.

Aside from more power, the updated machines also gain the True Tone colour control system from Apple's iPads, which uses light sensors to adjust the colour temperature of the display to best match the light in your environment.

The eGPU is a freestanding extruded aluminum enclosure for an included Radeon Pro 580 GPU - the same GPU included in Apple's high-end 27-inch iMac past year - with Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 connectivity.
