He was baptized at the Chapel Royal on the grounds of St James's Palace in London, just like his older brother George.

"Presenting the Royal Air Force with a new Queen's Colour provides an opportunity to congratulate the service for your remarkable contribution to defence over the last 100 years", she said. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were not in attendance.

The Lily Font, which was commission by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1840 and used for every christening since, and water from the River Jordan were used during the baptism.

The princess's friend Julia Samuel was made George's godmother, while Diana's niece Laura Fellowes is one of Charlotte's. The cream gown was styled on the Queen's own wedding dress.

Kate allegedly smiled back and replied, "Let's hope he stays like this", as all mothers can relate to Kate in this instance. Prince Charles and Camilla attend the christening of Prince Louis at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace on July 09, 2018 in London.

Prince Louis will be christened today.

It marks a rare public appearance for Kate during her six months maternity leave, who has only been pictured on official royal business three times since giving birth to her third child.

But just because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won't be Prince Louis' godparents, doesn't mean they won't play an important role in the infant's life, as they will always be his aunt and uncle.

The gown Louis worn was created in 2008 by fashion designer and dressmaker Angela Kelly. While Princes William and Harry looked smart in coordinating navy blue suits.

They include Guy Pelly, once dubbed the "court jester" to William and Harry for his wild ways that were often cited as a bad influence on the brothers in their youth, running their favourite drinking haunts.

The 33-year-old, who's expressed his desire to start a family on a number of occasions, sought counselling after 20 years of not processing his mother's death. They included old school friends and a Middleton cousin.

Aubrey-Fletcher is yet another longtime friend of William's, according to People.
