George Clooney "fine" after motorbike crash in Italy

George Clooney was quickly released from a hospital on the Italian island of Sardinia Tuesday after his scooter was hit by a vehicle, NBC News reported.

Carabinieri officer Alberto Cicognani was the driver of the Mercedes auto that hit Clooney after failing to stop at a turn, as reported by CNN.

George Clooney was taken to the hospital after crashing his motorcycle into a auto in Sardinia this week. Clooney described himself as being "banged up", CNN said.

It comes after Clooney was pictured stepping off a private jet in Sardinia with wife Amal, 40, and infant twins, Alexander and Ella, last month.

The force of the impact reportedly broke Clooney's helmet. According to Corriere, Clooney was "hospitalized" after the incident and his condition is "confidential" but not serious. He has already been released from the hospital at this time.

George, 57, was reportedly found lying injured on the road, having badly hurt his pelvis and bruised both his arms and legs. He suffered a broken rib, and she broke her foot. Recent reports had stated that the two have been joined by the actor's parents as well. It's unclear when George will return to filming.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney is now recovering at his home following the accident.
