Johnny Depp Sued For Reportedly Punching Crewmember on Film Set

- A film crew member says in a lawsuit that Johnny Depp twice punched him on the Los Angeles set of a movie about the killing of the Notorious B.I.G., and that he was sacked from the production when he refused to promise not to sue over the incident.

In the film, which had previously been referred to as "LAbyrinth", 55-year-old Depp portrays LAPD Detective Russell Poole, who investigated the slaying of rapper Biggie Smalls.

Rocky, who says he was fearful of the actor, claims that Johnny attacked him and punched him in the ribcage twice. Depp told him that he would give him $100,000 if he were to strike Johnny back in the face. That said, Brooks is now seeking monetary damages from the movie star, though the exact amount remains unspecified at this time.

Rocky says Depp punched him twice in the rib cage.

Brooks alleges that he went to get an on-set police officer to help him break the news to Depp, but that before he could do so, Depp accosted him, yelling, "Who the f- are you?" The location manager alleged he could smell alcohol on Depp's breath at the time of the incident.

Brooks said he was sacked from the "City of Lies" production three days later after he refused to sign a release giving up his right to sue Depp over the incident. Brooks alleges that Depp attacked him, and even told him he'd give him $100,000 to punch him in the face, and now Brooks is understandably seeking legal action.

Brooks also claims in the documents - filed by his attorney Arbella Azizian, of counsel at the law firm Baker, Olson, LeCroy & Danielian - that he returned to work three days later only to be asked by producer Miriam Segal to sign a document saying he would not sue production.

Brooks is suing for assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress and negligence, among other things. The movie is set to open September 7 from Global Road Entertainment.
