Ball is life ... and the family of Renard Matthews used his love of the Celtics so others would remember him as they do. He was only 18 years old. His wake was on Sunday afternoon and Matthews' family chose to prepare his body in a way that will allow them to remember him the way he lived his life.

On the TV screen in front of him, an National Basketball Association 2K game is being autoplayed between the Golden State Warriors and his beloved Celtics.

Family members said they wanted people to remember him the way he always was.

Photos of a wake are going viral after a New Orleans family staged their loved one's corpse in an upright position so it looked like he was playing a video game.

The teen's mom, Temeka, told WGNO that her son was a bit of a homebody and had only recently started venturing outside before he was killed in a shooting on June 25. He wore a Kyrie Irving Boston Celtics jersey, sunglasses and a pair of Irving's socks.
