West Ham Confirm The Signing Of Jack Wilshere

Wilshere, who left Arsenal when his contract expired last month, has been handed a three-year contract by the Hammers.

West Ham United hope to complete three transfers this week starting with Jack Wilshere, who has had a medical and an offer of a three-year contract.

"Many people know that I've had a special bond with this club growing up".

'People will have seen the picture of me in a West Ham shirt and I've got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park.

"I think I must have been about six or seven, my whole family were West Ham fans, I was a West Ham fan, still have a soft spot for them of course".

The move allows him to stay in London, play first team football and join a club whose fanbase's passion matches the blood and thunder that he plays with on the pitch.

"Jack is a player with vast experience and quality at the highest level, having played all of his career in the Premier League". Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop have already arrived through the London Stadium doors for a combined cost of £29m, and there are strong reports that the £40m acquisition of Lazio's Felipe Anderson and a £17m deal for Dortmund forward Andriy Yarmolenko in the very near future.

West Ham finished 13th in their last campaign.
