Harvey Weinstein Pleads Not Guilty to Additional Sexual Assault Charges

Pale and pasty faced, the 66-year-old former Tinseltown titan was escorted by elbow into a NY courtroom in handcuffs, dressed in a dark suit, tie and white shirt.

Weinstein has been free on $1 million bail following his May arrest and not guilty plea on charges he sexually assaulted two other women, one in 2004 and one in 2013.

"We are very pleased the the court did not exchange the existing bail conditions that Mr. Weinstein has scrupulously abided by", said his attorney Benjamin Brafman.

Weinstein is now free on $1 million bail.

"Mr. Weinstein maintains that all of these allegations are false and he expects to be fully vindicated", Brafman said earlier this month.

The other, former actress Lucia Evans, has gone public with her account of Mr Weinstein forcing her to perform oral sex at his office in 2004.

Several actors and models accused Weinstein of criminal sexual assaults.

"His objective is to clear his name, get help with the problems he has faced and hopefully go back to making movies", said Brafman.

Weinstein, 66, was indicted last week by a grand jury on one count of committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree and two counts of felony predatory sexual assault.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. also said the indictment was "the result of the extraordinary courage exhibited by the survivors who have come forward".

Allegations detailed in Pulitzer Prize-winning stories last October in the New York Times and the New Yorker drove the #MeToo movement.

London police and Los Angeles prosecutors have also been reviewing sexual assault accusations against Weinstein.

Weinstein's storied career as one of the most powerful men in Hollywood was torpedoed previous year following an avalanche of sexual assault and harassment allegations by some 80 women.

Several actresses and models accused Mr Weinstein of criminal sexual assaults, including actress Rose McGowan, who said Mr Weinstein raped her in 1997 in Utah; "Sopranos" actress Annabella Sciorra, who said he raped her in her NY apartment in 1992; and the Norwegian actress Natassia Malthe, who said he attacked her in a London hotel room in 2008.

Haleyi said Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her in 2006 in what appeared to be a child's bedroom in his Manhattan apartment. "Are you ready to state unequivocally that Mr. Weinstein is ready to take the witness stand and testify as well?"

Weinstein, the producer of hit indie films such as "Pulp Fiction" and "Shakespeare in Love", was a force in Hollywood, renowned for his ability to pick art house fare that could cross over into the mainstream, and feared for his volatile temper.
