Chelsea ace Willian opens up on Barcelona rumours

Chelsea ace Willian opens up on Barcelona rumours

The Chelsea man has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, with Manchester United and Barcelona mooted as destinations.

Barcelona has turned to the Brazilian after their main target Antoine Griezmann made a decision to stay at Athletico Madrid.

The Spanish Champions have offered Andre Gomes, Rafinha and Paulinho to Chelsea in a bid to bring Willian to Camp Nou after it was believed that they are not in Ernesto Valverde's plans for next season.

Willian would not be drawn on whether he could swap Chelsea for Barcelona this summer ahead of Brazil's 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter-final clash against Belgium on Friday.

Mundo Deportivo report that the Catalan side could offer a player in return as they are now unwilling to pay the £70 million that Chelsea asking for. I've not received any information about that.

Mourinho has always held Willian in high regard, and would see him as a superb replacement for Martial, who became a bit-part player last season at the Theatre Of Dreams.

Recently, Willian who is now in Russian Federation for the World Cup has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge with Barcelona also interested in his signature.

The Brazilian is now with the national team for the World Cup and is expected to play in their quarter-final clash against Belgium.

He scored a late goal to take Colombia's meeting with England into extra-time, but it was not enough to help see them through.

"I am focussed on the World Cup and it is the only thing concerning us right now".
