Samsung Galaxy On6 with ‘Infinity Display’ launched in India: Price, full specifications

It will compete with the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, and the Realme 1, to name a few. Samsung is usually pretty efficient at following up with full product pages and videos focussing on all the aspects of new flagship smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy On6 is powered by the octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset with all the eight cores clocked at 1.6GHz. The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via the microSD card slot. The camera app offers Face detection, Best Photo, Animated GIF, Food HDR, Mirror Selfie, Panorama and Sports Mode.

It has 13MP primary camera on the rear and an 8MP front shooter for selfies. Thinner bezels mean the Samsung logo has been removed from the front with the camera remaining. The fingerprint scanner was placed awkwardly besides the horizontal dual camera. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System as connectivity options.

Connectivity options on the Galaxy On6 include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and it is backed up by 3000mAh battery.

"Packed with new "Make for India" innovations such as "Chat-Over-Video", My Galaxy Video and Samsung Pay Mini, Galaxy On6 is a ideal companion for multi-taskers", said Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India. Hence, it seems to be a rebranded edition of the Galaxy J6 phone that will be available for buying exclusively online. The device is priced at Rs 14,490 and comes in Black and Blue color options.

Reliance Jio is offering a cashback of Rs. 2,750 for the buyers of Galaxy On6. They will also be eligible for a Double Data benefit on the first four recharges, starting at Rs. 198. Additionally, Galaxy On6 comes with My Galaxy Video, which offers users curated video content including music, full-length Hindi movies from Samsung's multimedia content service providers.
