Prosecutors reviewing sexual assault case against Sylvester Stallone

LOS ANGELES, June 14 ― Los Angeles prosecutors said yesterday that they were reviewing a sexual assault case against Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone.

A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office in Los Angeles has said that a case has been presented to police in Santa Monica.

Limited details have been released.

The first was said to have happened in the 1990s, but it wasn't reported until late previous year. However, media reports past year indicated a woman had filed a police report in Santa Monica against Stallone about an incident in the 1990s.

At the time of the woman's original allegation, Stallone's lawyer Marty Singer told USA Today that the actor "categorically disputes the claim", acknowledging Stone had a relationship with the woman for less than a week while shooting a movie in Israel in 1987.

A sexual assault case against Sylvester Stallone is being reviewed by the L.A. District Attorney's office.

"We have already notified the police that my client wants to file a claim against the woman for filing a false police report", the rep told THR.

The second alleged incident of sexual assault involving Stallone was said to have happened in 1986 at a Las Vegas hotel.

The case is being reviewed by a Los Angeles County task force that investigates possible sex crimes in the entertainment industry.
