Millie Bobby Brown leaves Twitter after becoming homophobic meme

Below are some examples of the meme, which include homophobic slurs.

The actress, who was one of the first recipients of MTV's gender-neutral award previous year, is a vocal anti-bullying advocate and LGBT rights supporter who has publicly voiced her support for GLAAD's Together movement as well as Parkland shooting survivors.

It's easy to see why Millie might not see the amusing side, considering she's very young and how easy sarcastic memes can be misconstrued by the oblivious masses.

Now that it's Pride Month, it seems as though the memes have resurfaced so that some can get a laugh at the expense of the 14-year-old.

This has not stopped the damaging meme from spreading, however, with one popular tweet posted on May 12 saying "Millie bobby brown arriving at pride" above a video of someone driving a auto into several protesters.

In the wake of the incident, she has also disabled comments on her Instagram posts.

Ironically, it appears her last post was a quote-tweet of the Being Me Campaign, an anti-bullying group.

Star of Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown left Twitter after she became the subject of a series of homophobic memes.

She's taken on the Demogorgon, but Twitter trolls may have been too much.

And one said - with receipts - that "MILLIE BOBBY BROWN SUPPORTS LGBTQ+".
