Agent admits Martial has options as Spurs, Chelsea to pounce

It claimed that Mourinho and United's hierarchy are reluctant to sell the 22-year-old to a Premier League rival, which could ruin their hopes of landing Willian if they will not permit Martial to go the other way.

"After considering all possibilities and options, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United", Lamboley explained to RMC Sport.

"I think when the most powerful club in the world does not find an agreement in eight months of negotiations, it is that it really does not want to make an important player a part of its workforce". He started the season impressively but paid the price for poor post-January form by missing out on France's World Cup squad.

Arsenal have been linked with Martial previously when Alexis Sanchez made the swap from London to Manchester in January, but United instead orchestrated a swap-style deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan to secure the Chile worldwide.

However, Martial has gradually found opportunities harder to come by at Old Trafford, particularly since the arrival in January of Alexis Sanchez.

"However, we do not share the same vision for Anthony's future".

Sources told ESPN FC in May that United would listen to offers if Martial pushed for a move, but also that the club wanted to keep him amid reports of a possible swap for Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld. "Without the great support from the fans, he would have already asked to leave the club". Today, Anthony is disappointed because he demonstrated for three seasons his love for the club and its supporters.

"I think he has done his best for three years".

"It's important to remember that he is under contract and that Manchester United will have the last word", Lamboley added. He was elected three times as the player of the month by fans. I will not comment on the consequences of this transfer window.

While the agent was reluctant to discuss the motivation behind Martial's transfer request, he did hint at frustration at a lack of playing time.

"Anthony has a choice, I cannot say anything else on this subject at the moment but you can imagine that the moment that a player like Anthony comes onto the market, lots of clubs are interested. All I can say is that many coaches appreciate his talents and many clubs are proposing their projects", he concluded.
