Salah remains a doubt for match against Uruguay-Egyptian FA

Mohamed Salah has undergone light training for the first time with the Egyptian team, as the Pharaohs start to prepare for their Group A opener against Uruguay on Friday afternoon.

The episode sparked reactions on social media given the allegations of Kadryov's human rights violations.

Kadyrov, who sports the hallmark beard of the ultraconservative Muslims known as Salafis, has enforced strict Islamic rules in Chechnya since assuming control in 2004, relying on his security forces to stifle any dissent.

The Egyptian government, meanwhile, shows zero tolerance for political Islam and has for years been fighting an insurgency led by Islamic militants.

According to the Egyptian global, Drogba encouraged him to break his EPL record for the most goals scored by an African player. Despite his lack of participation, Salah is still the main attraction with soccer fans in Grozny, where Egypt have based themselves for the tournament.

Former Egypt worldwide Mido said he expects Salah to play in the opening match in Yekaterinburg.

Salah, 25, joined in with his teammates in training on Saturday, but was left out of overly physical elements as he continues to recover from a dislocated shoulder that he sustained in Liverpool's 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

The Egypt global won the PFA player of the year award ahead of Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne to cap an incredible first season at Liverpool FC. So I thought to myself, I have quite a few games to play before the end of the season, I can break the all-time record!

While Salah has talked up his hopes of starting against Uruguay in Yekaterinburg, Ehab Lehita, the Egyptian FA's managing director, said: "We're keeping an eye on the situation day by day".

"We will not pressure Mohamed".
