Michael Cohen's Lawyers Expected To Stop Representing Him In FBI Probe

President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, who is under investigation for a number of possible crimes ranging from bank fraud to campaign finance violations, is reportedly concerned that he could be arrested any day now, according to friends of Cohen who spoke to Vanity Fair and New York Daily News.

Roughly 3.7 million files were seized in the Cohen raid and are being reviewed to determine which ones may be subject to attorney-client privilege.

Cohen has not been charged with a crime, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation raid of his home, hotel room and office in early April revealed that prosecutors had zeroed in on his personal financial dealings, including the payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels on Trump's behalf before the election.

Rather, she says that Cohen is "increasingly likely to flip" and cooperate with federal investigators to get a reduced sentence. Replacements for the lawyers have not been named. Phone messages left for Ryan were not immediately returned. For several months now, the prosecutors have been looking into whether Cohen broke the law in any business projects, including hush-money payments he made to women who claim they had affairs with Trump.

CBS News correspondent Jeff Pegues, who has been in contact with Cohen, reports there appear to be changes afoot in his legal strategy going forward - on the key question of whether Cohen is ready to cooperate, or whether he will decide to do battle in court. "It's an attack on all we stand for", President Trump said during a meeting with senior military leadership at the White House in April.

The source said Cohen had not yet met with prosecutors to speak about a potential deal, and it's unclear whether either side is seeking one.

"Not a good look and a disaster for Mr. Cohen and Mr. Trump", he said.
