Fox & Friends Host Calls Trump a ‘Dictator’

Amid an uncertain outcome, US President Donald Trump and North Korean premier Kim Jong-Un is set to hold the first-ever meeting between leaders of the two countries on Tuesday morning in Singapore, in what is being billed as the mother of all summits. "I called both President Trump and Kim Jon Un a dictator".

Anthony Scaramucci, Huntsman's guest and Trump's former White House Communications Director, appeared not to notice Huntsman's mistake and continued talking.

Commenting on the upcoming summit, she said: "This is history, regardless of what happens in that meeting between the two dictators, what we are seeing right now, this is history".

She apologised on her show and on Twitter as critics called her gaffe a "Freudian slip".

The gaffe was made on Sunday during a Fox and Friends segment when Huntsman turned to Trumpian Anthony Scaramucci and said this: "This is history".

Trump, a regular proponent of Fox News, had not responded to the error at the time of publishing.

"I'll never claim to be a ideal human being", she wrote.

President Donald Trump has quite the record for raising eyebrows with his frequent praise of the world's most notorious dictators and strongmen, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte. "Everyone makes mistakes. We're all human".

Many described Huntsman's words as a "Freudian slip", while others claimed the network, known for its favorable coverage of Trump, had finally told "the truth".

"Now let's all move on to things that actually matter", Huntsman said in a tweet.
