E3 JUMP FORCE Trailer Unites ONE PIECE, DRAGON BALL, and NARUTO

One that immediately made me jump for joy was the trailer for Jump Force, a Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece crossover fighting brawl with one special shinigami thrown in. Oh, and Death Note puts in an appearance too.

Bandai Namco is publishing several other anime games this year including New Gundam Breaker, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Black Clover: Quartet Knights, and My Hero: One's Justice. Featuring legendary anime characters, Jump Force is expected to release in 2019.

So what do you think of the Jump Force announcement? Bandai Namco states that it's trying to bring the characters to life with a more realistic design to showcase the fact that game takes place in the real world.

Jump Force is a 3D brawler/fighter where you'll be able to create three-character tag teams from the various series.

The common factor between these manga series is that they were all published in Shonen Jump. This footage also confirmed that Roronoa Zoro of One Piece and Sasuke Uchiha of Naruto will be playable characters. The reductive comparison would be Super Smash Bros., which increases its roster every game with fresh deep-cuts from the Nintendo canon, but functionally, Jump Force reminds me a bit of Pokken Tournament or even those old DBZ Budokai games. Notably, he stated that there would be characters present that haven't really been in video games before.
