Tiger Woods to play with No

Tiger Woods will play the first two rounds at next week's U.S. Open with world number one Justin Thomas and number two Dustin Johnson, the U.S. Golf Association announced on Thursday.

Woods will compete in the U.S. Open for the first time since 2015.

Since returning to the PGA Tour in December of previous year, Woods has climbed his way back up the FedEx Cup rankings to 50th in the world.

He'll reportedly be holed up on a yacht for the duration of the tournament. He has docked at Gurney's Montauk Yacht Club prior to the start of the second major of the year, according to Page Six.

He also won the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and the 2002 championship at Bethpage.

The dark wood is a theme throughout the yacht's furnishings along with walls covered in white silk and upholstered leather furniture. It features a master suite and six other sleeping quarters, enough for 21 people to stay on board.

The US Open is at Shinnecock Hills on Long Island, New York, starting on the 14 June.

The vessel also includes a gym, movie theatre, full bar, eight-person hot tub and a scuba decompression chamber. For Tiger Woods, that apparently means pulling up his 155-foot yacht and staying there. After offering the boat to Elin Nordegren during their divorce proceedings, Woods tried to sell the boat in 2011.
