Hitman 2 sneaks onto PC and consoles later this year

From Hitman 2's price, release date, PC specifications, and gameplay details, all of has been laid bare.

Hitman 2 was revealed with a trailer Thursday ahead of E3 showing the infamous bald assassin sabotaging a racing vehicle to make it spin out and kill the driver, leaving onlookers non the wiser.

"We are very proud to announce HITMAN 2 as the next exciting chapter in our ever-expanding world of assassination". There are plans for post-launch content, however.

The game will include several global locations, including Miami, which is the settings for today's reveal.

The game will also get a Silver Edition, a Gold Edition, and a Collector's Edition. The game is $60 onwards in the US.

You can pre-order Hitman 2 from the Microsoft Store for $59.99. Unlike the last game, which followed an episodic release, this one is coming "all at once", according to IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak.

Continuing the ultimate spy thriller story, Hitman 2 allows players to take on the role of the masterful Agent 47 and embark on a mission to hunt the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia once and for all.

In addition to the base game, there is now a standalone mode that two players can tackle cooperatively named Sniper Assassin, but players are welcome to try it solo as well.

The game will launch on November 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and you can check out the reveal trailer below, alongside the full reveal livestream (which also shows more footage from the game), and the trailer of the Sniper Assassin mode. Full game early access giving you a four-day head start is also available for pre-ordering the Gold or Collector's Edition.
