Bethesda reveals Fallout 76

But after the release of an all new teaser trailer, Bethesda revealed Fallout 76.

A spin-off also allows for an E3 announcement of Bethesda Game Studios next true mega-ton release, be that Starfield or a new Elder Scrolls entry.

Bethesda threw everyone a curve ball when they teased their next in the Fallout line, Fallout 76. Well, there's evidence in the trailer that Fallout 76 is set in October and may therefore release in October.

At the time of writing this, Fallout Vault 76 does not have an official release date.

That's because October 27 lands on a Saturday, and video games tend to release on Tuesdays or Fridays. However, that doesn't rule out the possibility that Fallout 76 could launch in the week of October 27, so maybe fans can expect it on Tuesday, October 23 or Friday, October 26.

The ability to create and expand your own settlements in Fallout 4 was one of the standout features of the game, and showed a willingness to take the Fallout IP in new directions. There's a trophy for a Halloween contest on the wall, and eagle-eyed viewers can even spot a Jack-O-Lantern on the shelf in the bedroom.

Jason Schreir, who is an editor at Kotaku, and first shared this story about Fallout 76 being an online game, recently chose to clear the confusion surrounding its announcement on reddit.

If this is the direction that Bethesda is taking Fallout 4, it will be intriguing to see if they add PvP to the game. It's possible that this game focuses more on building a community after the vault opens via gathering resources, constructing bases, and slaying radioactive monsters.

Fallout 76 is in development for unspecified systems. Is it in fact a new Fallout proper, similar to Fallout: New Vegas last generation?
