Janet Jackson calls 911 to check on son's welfare

Janet Jackson called police Saturday over concern for her 1-year-old son, Eissa Al Mana, authorities told CNN.

US singer Janet Jackson (R) and her then boyfriend Wissam Al Mana pose for photographers as they arrive to attend the Giorgio Armani Autumn/Winter 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week, February 25, 2013.

ET has reached out to her sibling, Randy Jackson in order to find out more about the police phone call.

"Deputies were there and the child was OK so we left", the commander told Us Weekly.

The police confirmed that Jackson was not on the scene at the time of the incident but that she was at the hotel when the police arrived. Janet was supposedly tipped off to some alleged aggressive behavior displayed by Wissam, which concerned a nanny enough to alert Janet.

Four months after Eissa's birth, Janet and Qatari business magnate Wissam split after five years of marriage however it was thought the exes remain amicable for the sake of their son.

A source close to the Jacksons divulged to Us Weekly past year that Janet Jackson felt like she was locked in a golden prison by a very rich Middle Easterner who very much wanted an obedient and "traditional wife who stuck with Muslim traditions".
